Fact Four: Garn Goch is not a one-off. It is one of a series of long cairns stretching into England.
Around Hazleton in the western Cotswolds near the Severn valley there are dozens – literally dozens – of long cairns like Garn Goch’s.
They’ve been excavated since the 1970s, and have been definitively proven to be Neolithic.
This chain of long cairns includes Ty Isaf, and Penywyrlod near Talgarth here in Wales.
And guess what they found in 2017 under the Penywyrlod long cairn just 26 miles from Garn Goch?
