WALKING & RIDING
Garn Goch is part of two long distance walking routes:
the 8 day, 159 km Brecon Beacons Way begins or, more usually, ends at Bethlehem, so Garn Goch is the highlight of this 16 km final day's walk that begins at the remarkable Carreg Cennen, and the route takes you right through the site
the recently created and excellent 195 km Heart Of Wales Trail enables you to train-walk-train each day. Route 12 is the 16 km from Llangadog to Llandeilo stations, including 'Carn Goch', which, obviously without any research, it rather unfortunately describes as a 'small ancient Iron Age camp' (at least the word ancient is correct).
There is an equally excellent guide book (essential if you are not to get lost) by Les Lumsden.
It's also great to include on a local horse ride.
